What We Demand:

• Strengthening of Public Sector Banks & restoration of 100% ownership by Govt.

• Government contribution to equity in PSBs.

• Expansion of Public Sector Banks.

• Delinking Associate Banks from SBI and make them independent.

• Opening of more bank branches in the un-banked rural areas.

• More control on FDI/ private investments in banking sector.

• Nationalisation of all private and foreign banks including ICICI Bank.

• Strengthening of Public sector banks

• Re-orientation of credit policies of banks.

• More loans to agricultural sector at lesser rate of interest.

• Stringent measures to recover NPAs.

• Publication of bank loan defaulters.

• Total financial inclusion.

• Increase in interest rates of Small Savings & Deposits.

• Merger of RRBs with Sponsor Banks.

• Revitalisation & re-capitalisation of Co-operative Banks.

• Encourage small and low cost deposits from the common people.

• Exemption of profits of Co-operative Banks under Sec. 80-P of Income Tax Act.

• Govt. Scheme should be formulated to extend cheaper credit to these segments.
