The present labour rights as enshrined in the various Acts are the result of struggles of the working class in the last 100 years. All these hard-won labour rights cannot be and should not be diluted, weakened or taken away by the Government.
Everyone knows that the employers and the Corporates want ‘Ease of doing business’ What they mean by ‘Ease of doing business’ is also known to everyone. They want free-hand to exploit workers and to make more profits.
If the new Labour Codes are pro-workers, then why the Government has refused to discuss with the Central Trade Unions. Government’s unilateral imposition of the new Labour Codes only proves that some of the vital labour rights are being taken away.
The way that employers are welcoming these new Labour Codes only proves that it is pro-employer and anti-worker.
