We have already informed that in response to the strike notice served by
UFBU on IBA, the IBA invited UFBU for a discussion on 14-1-2026 at
Mumbai. Since there was no positive indication or outcome during the
discussion except that the issue is still pending with the Government, it was
decided to go ahead with the strike.
After this, the Chief Labour Commissioner called for a conciliation meeting
today at his office in Delhi. The new CLC, Ms. Sonal Mishra, IAS, presided
over the meeting along with other officials. DFS representatives and IBA
representatives were present. All the 9 UFBU unions were present.
The proceedings of the meeting is furnished the Minutes of the meeting
enclosed herein. We have also forwarded the message from UFBU as under:
We have forwarded the minutes of today’s conciliation meeting
which is explanatory. Hence conciliation will continue
tomorrow afternoon. In the meantime, all preparation and
mobilisation for strike to continue. UFBU
Since the CLC has adjourned the proceedings to 23rd afternoon, UFBU will
attend the conciliation proceedings. But all our Unions should
concentrate on mobiliising our members and preparing for the
success of the strike. We have observed that some of our comrades are
busy in sending messages on their own. This is indiscipline and improper
and will create confusion. Only the messages from the UFBU or from the
General Secretary of AIBEA should be circulated.
Go ahead and make the strike a success. If any positive outcome is there,
the same will be duly conveyed to our units by UFBU/AIBEA. We repeat –
all our unions should concentrate on full-scale preparation for the strike
