Dear Comrades,
Remember Com H L Parvana
Recall his contributions
Reminisce his sacrifices
Resolve to further strengthen AIBEA
3rd November marks the birthday of our great visionary leader, the jewel leader, Com. H L Parvana, former Secretary of AIBEA. He was born on 3rd November, 1923 and tomorrow will be the 104th birthday of our darling leader.
He passed away on 18th April, 1975, 51 years ago. But even today we continue to remember him because of this lifelong sacrifices and contributions for the cause of bank employees, their welfare and betterment. He lost his job in Punjab National Bank due to victimisation by the management for his trade union activities. But that did not deter him.
Due to his deep conviction in working class ideology, strong commitment to trade union movement, unflinching belief in the united strength of the bank employees, undiminishing determination to fight against injustice to bank employees, indomitable courage to face all challenges, willingness to sacrifice for the cause of co-workers, he evolved as a great leader of AIBEA.
In 1950, he became the Central Committee Member of AIBEA. In 1951 he became an Office Bearer of AIBEA and continued as such until his unfortunate, premature death in 1975. He became a beacon and inspiration to all of us because of his outstanding leadership qualities and comradeship.
Today, when multiple challenges are confronting the bank employees, when there is increased need to resort to struggles, unity of the employees is paramount. For this, the only way is to strengthen AIBEA.
When we remember Com. Parvana on his birthday, let us resolve to shed our weaknesses and do our best to strengthen AIBEA at all level. That will be best tribute to him.
With greetings,
Yours Comradely,
C.H. VENKATACHALAM
GENERAL SECRETARY
